Washington Capitals 2025 Development Camp is underway with sessions beginning on July 1. It runs through the fifth with the conclusion being the 3 on 3 tournament.

All Development Camp on ice sessions are free and open to the public at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, VA.

All five selections from the Capitals 2025 Draft class will be in attendance at this year's development camp. Washington selected left wing Lynden Lakovic (first round, 27th overall), center Milton Gastrin (second round, 37th overall), left wing Maxim Schafer (third rund, 96th overall), center Jackson Crowder (fifth round, 155th overall) and defenseman Aron Dahiqvist (sixth round, 180th overall).

The development camp roster also includes 16 participants that attended the camp last year. The Capitals two most recent first round draft picks will be there in Lynden Lakovic at 27th overall in 2025 and Terik Parascak who was selected 17th overall in 2024.

The 18 year old Lakovic spent the 2024-25 season with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League and established single season career highs in goals with 27, assists with 31, points with 58 and power play goals with seven despite appearing in just 47 regular season games.

Parascak who's 19 spent the 2024-25 season with the Prince George Cougars of the WHL and recorded 82 points in 59 regular season games with 28 goals and 54 assists.
