The Washington Capitals tweeted out a picture of the Screagle goalie equipment. That is the equipment for Logan Thompson and Charlie Lindgren and the look is just tuff.

The new equipment debuted at practice earlier this morning. Tomorrow there will be an optional skate ahead of the Caps nationally televised game on ESPN against the New York Rangers which is sure to be a big tilt.

The big story is despite losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night the Caps allowed just 21 shots in the defeat. It was the fifth time in seven games they had held an opponent to fewer than 30 shots. The Caps rank second in the NHL in shots against per game at 26 percent and tied for eighth in goals against per game at 3.00.

In additon, Washington has allowed 303 shot attempts at five on five which is the second lowest in the league. The Caps are one of five tems to rank in the top 10 in both goals per game at 3.71 and goals against per game at 3.00.

The Caps will debut the Screaming Eagle jerseys on Nov. 6 against the Nashville Predators and will wear the jersey for six dates.

Here were the lines and pairs from Monday's practice via Tarik El-Bashir of Moumental Sports Network. Note that the one change is Mike Sgarbossa who is on the third line in place of Hendrix Lapierre.

El-Bashir noted that Roy left practice before the team drills. On the Rangers side of things Matt Rempe took the first rep on the fourth line alongside Adam Edstrom and Sam Carrick per Mollie Walker of the New York Post. Carbery spoke to the media but would not comment on who gets the nod in goal Tuesday night.
