Ryan Leonard Scores a Win at the World Championships

Ryan Leonard continues to impress at the IIHF World Championships in Switzerland this week. Leonard scored in the shootout Wednesday to give Team USA a 4-3 win against Germany. Leonard has a power play goal and the shootout winner so far in eight games during the tournament.

The US sits in fourth place in Group A with 5 points, their record 1 win, 1 OT win, and 2 losses. Leonard and Team USA will next play Latvia (6th in Group A, 3 points) in the preliminary round on Saturday May 23rd at 12:20 Zurich time. Team USA has just three games left after that to qualify for the quarterfinal round that begins May 28th.
