2012 Game 5 OT loss to the Rangers

This one stung especially since my father had passed away that April. He took me to my first hockey game and is the reason I am a fan. He knew how much I loved the Capitals and how many of us thought that new head coach Dale Hunter was going to coach us to the Finals, with Braden Holtby announcing his arrival as a starter in the NHL by playing lights out that year. I thought my father had talked to the Big Man upstairs and that that would be the year Ovi finally brought the Stanley Cup to Washington. The Caps lost in game 5 in TO, the Rangers took a 3-2 lead and would win a very close series in seven, no divine intervention involved.
