The son of Miroslav Satan, Miroslav Satan Jr, is headed back to Slovakia for the 2026-27 season.
Satan, who is 20 years old, was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the seventh round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft at 212th overall after a strong season with the U20 HC Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia, where he scored 14 goals and added 16 assists for 30 points through 26 games.
In DobberProspects' prospect report on Satan from September of 2025, they wrote, "A massive forward with strong playmaking ability, but he needs to improve on his skating. Has a long reach and excels on the forecheck, but is still a long-term project that needs to start producing offensively."
In the 2024-25 season, Satan played in the United States Hockey League (USHL), splitting time between the Sioux Falls Stampede and the Omaha Lancers.
With the Stampede, he scored two goals and added one assist for three points through 20 games. With the Lancers, he scored one goal through 25 games.
Last season, he split time between the Saginaw Spirit in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and the Shawnigan Cataractes in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
With the Spirit, he had zero points through 24 games. With the Cataractes, he scored two goals and added four assists for six points through 29 games.
This season, he joins HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas in Slovakia.
