Five Players the Capitals May Be Forced to Trade in Blockbuster

If the Washington Capitals are to add an elite playmsker to their roster, they will have to give up a valuable NHL forward or two to make a Blockbuster trade work.

Strome is probably the most attractive player the Capitals have to include in a blockbuster trade. Strome, 28, is a shoot first center, steady point producer, and plays important minutes on the powerplay. He has two years left at an incredibly affordable $5 million per year. Strome has played in 80 or more games and had 58 or more points four years in a row. That production for that cost is a bargain. If the Caps upgrade the center position, Strome could be necessary to make the deal work.
