The Washington Capitals wrapped up the first round in five games against the Montreal Canadiens. It's time to grade the offense who showed up in each win.

The Caps offense outscored the Canadiens 18-12 in the five games. Leading the charge offensively was Dylan Strome who scored two goals and added seven assists for nine points.

Anthony Beauvillier, Tom Wilson and Alex Ovechkin each have five points. Beauvillier has a goal and four assits. Wilson has two goals and three assists. Ovechkin ahs four goals and one assists and he leads the team in goals this postseason.

Another plyer with five points this postseason is Connor McMichael with three goals and two assists. Brandon Duhaime has three goals. Pierre-Luc Dubois has two assists.

Andrew Mangiapane has a goal and an assist. Lars Eller, Ryan Leonard, Nic Dowd, and Taylor Raddysh all have assists. That pretty much rounds out the forwards.

Game 5 saw the Caps dominate from start to finish and it all began when Strome won a face off and the puck went over to Ovechkin as he buried it in.

"Unfortunate break for (Christian) Dvorak. I think his stick was probably broken before the face off. And then I was just trying to win it; I knew Ovi was behind me there somewhere, and he put a great shot on it. Unfortunate break for them, but great break for us. "

Ovechkin reflected about what he learned about the group so far saying, "It doesn't matter what happen, we stick together and we always believe. Since Day 1, when new pieces, new faces come to the locker room, you can feel it. We support each other and the most important thing is we have fun. It doesn't matter (if) it's up or down, we try to be positive and try to win the games. That's the most important thing."

Final Grade A+: This offense deserved an A+ for the way the four lines contributed in the five games. From Ovechkin's overtime winner in Game 1 to Duhaime's empty netter in Game 5 to seal the series, the Caps offense showed out in a big way.
