Alex Ovechkin practiced in full on Friday at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, VA on Friday morning. He could play as soon as tonight and boy do the Caps need him. Back in November he suffered a broken left fibula and has missed Washington's last 16 games.

The 16 game miss is the longest stretch of consecutive games he has missed in his career. The Capitals lost their first two games without Ovechkin in the lineup but went 10-3-1 since and have a 36-34-5 all time record in games without Ovechkin.

The Great Eight scored two goals in his most recent game on Nov. 18 at Utah which marked his 177th career multi goal game. The night before, Ovechkin had his 31st career hat trick in a win over Vegas.
