The final two games of the season series will take place in Pittsburgh at PPG Paints Arena on Feb. 22 and April 17, the latter of which being the Caps regular season finale. The Capitals defeated the Ottawa Senaors 1-0 in overtime on Thursday at Canadian Tire Centre up north of the border to extend their point streak to nine games with a 6-0-3 record. Alex Ovechkin scored his 21st goal of the season 3:07 into overtime to secure Washington's 30th win of the season.

The goal also marked Ovechkin's 874th career goal, 27th career overtime goal and 134th career game winning goal. Logan Thompson would stop all 24 shots he faced as he posted his second straight shutout. Thursday's game also marked the 34th time in franchise history the Capitals won a game 1-0 and the sixth time they won a game 1-0 in overtime or the shootout.

Once againt the puck is dropped in Capital One Arena at 7 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network in what will be a big night for the city especially if the local football and hockey clubs win.
