They walked in their trap and took over their trap. Now the Caps go for their fifth in a row and they'll look to do it on their home ice at Capital One Arena.

In case you missed it here's the video highlights:

The Caps opened the scoring last night with shorthanded goals from Nic Dowd and Andrew Mangiapane, the first time in franchise history Washington opened the game with back to back shorties.

After the Flyers gave the Caps a quick bite, John Carlson snapped Philly right back to reality 64 seconds later then later in the period the scoring got closed out with Brandon Duhaime feeding Jakob Chychrun. Charlie Lindgren backed the way with 17 saves for his second win of the season.

Lindgren spoke of the team's performance to Mike Vogel of WashCaps.com:

I think we've got a high IQ hockey team. I think we've got guys that know where to get to the right spot, and they're willing to go the extra mile for the guy next to you. You look at a couple of (Philadelphia's) rushes tonight, and they're making passes through seams, and then they're trying to make the extra pass, and we're fine; our fourth back checker is breaking the puck up. That says a lot about our group. And again, I have a lot of respect for our group, I have a lot of respect for our guys on this team and just the way they play the game. It's a joy to be in the crease with these guys.
