The Washington Capitals are back in action tonight from Nationwide Arena to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second game of the four game series. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network and you can also listen to the game on 106.7 The Fan and Caps Radio 24/7.

There's also a college hockey doubleheader at Capital One Arena tonight and if you are unable to make it downtown you can check out Penn State vs. Army at 8 p.m. in the Capital Hockey Classic on Monumental Sports Network 2.

Per Caesars the Capitals enter tonight's game as 1.5 goal favorites on the road with -165 moneyline odds. The Blue Jackets are the underdogs at +140. The game is set at an over/under of 6.5.

Thursday's contest finishes up a stretch of three straight games on the road for the Caps and they can continue to rewrite the franchise record book in this one. For the first time the Caps enter with a nine game road winning streak so 10 will be on the line tonight.

Entering the year the franchise mark was seven straight but that ended with a weekend back to back sweep in Canada. After the sweep the Caps were on a little bit of a four day break where they practiced some and rested some. Almost like an NFL mini bye week.

But tonight's game in Columbus is the start of a ramp up. It'll be seven games in 12 days between now and the NHL's holiday break. Washington also enters tonight's game with the best record in the Eastern Conference and a seven game point streak with a 6-0-1 record. Despite dropping the first two games without Alex Ovechkin in the lineup, they have secured points in every game since.

Once again puck drop is at 7 p.m. and you can catch the game on Monumental Sports Network as well as 106.7 The Fan and Caps Radio 24/7.
