The Washington Capitals are now an NHL juggernaut and the entire hockey world is watching them. Tonight they'll take on an Edmonton Oilers team without Connor McDavid. Puck drop is at 9 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network. Read on to find out why you should start Pierre-Luc Dubois in your fantasy lineup tonight.

Don't just take our word for it either. Here's what Jason Chen of The Hockey News had to say about PLD:

"The Capitals have won four in a row with PLD going on a scoring binge with three points in his past three games. Since December, he's scored 20 points in 22 games, and without Connor McDavid, perhaps PLD won't be used strictly in a matchup role and allow him to create more chances on offense. "

Pierre-Luc Dubois along with Aliaksei Protas each recorded a goal and an assist on Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Dubois has 28 points in 32 games with seven goals and 21 assists in 32 games played while Protas has 25 points in 32 games with 14 goals and 11 assists. Since Nov. 10 that leads the Capitals in scoring along with the efforts of defenseman Jakob Chychrun who has 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points in 32 games played.

Dubois has recorded 22 points in his last 23 games with six goals and 16 assists. In 46 games this season, Dubois has recorded 36 points with eight goals and 28 assists. He ranks second on Washington in assists, third in points and second in even strength points with seven goals and 23 assists for 30 points.

PLD is currently on pace for 49 assists and 64 points this season, both of which would be career highs. Once again puck drop is at 9 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network.
