It's offically offical. Number 13 Jakub Vrana is back with the Washington Capitals. He made the team out of training camp and signed a one year, one way deal worth $775,000. Puck Pedia indicated that Vrana will be on the Caps opening night roster submission and we learned the news during the team's practice earlier today at Capital One Arena.

We know the preseason stats but what was the reaction like after practice. Well when Vrana found out the news he was pleased and grateful and you ought to be especially after the long journey and hard work he put in for that contract to kick the Chris Patrick era into higher gear with the season fast approaching.

Just being able to be back in the league and, on top of everything, it's this organization and this team - it's great, man. It's great to be back here. It's a commitment, it's dedication. You gotta stay consistent with your work, and so far I've been solid with that.

Tom Wilson added this:

Such a great a great kid. It's something we were all rooting for throughout camp. He's been a lot of fun to have around the rink. He's a guy that kinda makes it a joy coming to the rink every day to see a smile on his face. He's a heckuva player, we've seen what he can do and he think he'll complement the group very well. He's put in the work. He's grown as a player, as a person. I'm proud of him for where he's at now, and hopefully he can help our team.

Vrana being back on the team should give the Caps a boost with T.J. Oshie expected to go on LTIR. What Vrana did for the Cup run won't be forgotten but it's time to turn the page to season 50 and it'll be so awesome having V back in the lineup.
