Alex Ovechkin to play in 1,400th NHL game tonight while a Hershey Bear makes his NHL debut
Another GR8 milestone added to the list of many.
When the Washington Capitals lace up against the Montreal Canadiens tonight, Alex Ovechkin will achieve a milestone already as he's expected to appear in his 1,400th NHL game all with the Caps.
Per Capitals PR, Ovechkin will become the 41st player in NHL history to reach the 1,4000 game mark and has played in 96.0 percent of Capitals games since making his Capitals and NHL debut on Oct. 5, 2005. That's a grand total of 1,399 of Washington's 1,458 games. Ovechkin's 96 percent of games played with one franchise is the fifth highest in the league.
