Breaking down the 2024-25 Washington Capitals Training Camp Roster and Schedule

Washington Capitals training camp is just around the corner and today the team announced the complete roster and schedule ahead of it. This will be the 18th training camp at MedStar Capitals Iceplex and all practices are open to the public and free of charge.

The Caps training camp roster includes 41 forwards, 24 defensemen and seven goalies, and will be broken up into three squads and their schedules will vary.

Here's the training camp schedule for the first six days:

Wednesday September 18: Medical/Testing

Thursday September 19: 9 a.m. Group A skate test on Capitals rink, 9:45 a.m. Group A practice, 11:45 Group B skate test, 12:30 p.m. Group B pratice at 12:30 p.m., Group C skate test 1:45 p.m., Group C pratice 2:20 p.m.

Saturday September 21: 9 a.m. Group A practice Arlington Rink, 9:35 a.m. Group A practice Capitals rink. 11:45 pm. Group B practice Arlington rink, Group B pratice Capitals rink. Group C practice Arlington rink 1:45 p.m. 2:20 Group C practice Capitals rink.

Sunday September 22: 3 p.m. Washington vs. Philadelphia at Capital One Arena, 9 a.m. non game group practice, 10 a.m. non game group scrimmage Capitals rink.

Monday September 23: Day off
