Be sure to catch tonight's Washington Capitals game on Monumental Sports Network 2. Tonight against the Colorado Avalanche in their third game away from home before a week off that includes the All Star break.

Capitals coach Spencer Carbery said in his media availability that Ethan Bear will go back in the lineup while TvR is out. Charlie Lindgren gets the nod in net. Tonight's game won't be easy as the Avalanche are second in the Central Division.

While the Capitals are sixth in the Metro right now, things are getting tight which makes this game all the more important. The Caps are in the middle of the pack in the wild card race however, just three points behidn the Red Wings entering the drop of the puck tonight at 9:30 p.m.

As I'm writing this the first place wild card Maple Leafs who are up by four points on the Caps are scoreless at home against the Winnipeg Jets in the third period. The Hurricanes lead the Bruins 2-0 heading into the third on TNT. Out west the Sabres, who are six points back of the Caps and if the Caps get cold and they get hot could get in trouble... they play the Kings at 10:30 p.m. on ESPN plus NHL Power Play.

Here are the Caps lines in warmups as we speak per Bailey Johnson of Washington Post:

Protas-McMichael-Oshie

Ovechkin-Strome-Pacioretty

Mantha-Kuznetsov-Wilson

Malenstyn-Dowd-NAK

Sandin-Carlson

Fehervary-Bear

Edmundson-Jensen
