Dylan Strome will be player to watch against Canadiens
The Washington Capitals are back in action and it's up to them how far they'll go. Dylan Strome can lead the way.
It's win now. The playoffs don't start for the NHL until April but if the Washington Capitals even want to be considered eligable for the big dance, the time is now to work towards this. No better center in Evgeny Kuznetsov's absence to help lead the charge than Dylan Strome.
While the Caps sputtered down the stretch before the All Star weekend, Strome was one positive as he enters tonight's game with three goals in his last two games. In their last game which resulted in a overtime loss to the Dallas Stars, Strome had the game tying goal with 43 seconds left.

Strome was cetering the second line at yesterday's practice between Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson, per Monumental's Tarik El-Bashir. While Washington isn't in the best spot standings wise, Strome's team leading 19 goals along with his 12 assists for 31 points has kept things better than it seems. And Charlie Lindgren likely gets the net tonight as Bailey Johnson of the Post reported that he was the first goalie off the ice for today's optional skate.
