Next up on our Washington Capitals report card series is Rasmus Sandin. He was another defenseman with a high upside and hopefully we can see him reach his ceiling soon. He turned 24 in March.

. Washington Capitals. Rasmus Sandin. B.

The verdict

Sandin gets a B from us. Being a defensemen is no easy job. You have to block shots and then do your best to create offense. That's something we've seen John Carlson do for over a decade and that's why he's good at his craft. Sandin has that upside and the question is will he use it?
