Hershey Bears defeat Hartford Wolf Pack to advance past Atlantic Division Finals

Thanks to a three point night from Garrett Roe, the Bears completed the three game sweep to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals

After Hartford Wolf Pack took a 1-0 lead 13:24 into the first off a goal from Jaroslav Chmelar, the Hershey Bears responded when Roe redirected a shot from Hardy Haman Aktell at 1:56 to give the Hershey Bears a run they would never look back on. The Washington Capitals AHL affiliate went on to score four more goals en route to a 4-1 win.

Chase Priskie would have the secondary assist on the goal and soon Priskie and Roe would attack, Roe retrieved a loose puck to backhand it in at 7:29 to give the Bears a lead they would never look back on. Ivan Miroshnichenko had the secondary assist.

The Bears were able to close it out with a pair of goals in the third with Matt Strome making it 3-1 at 11:52 with a power play goal from Henrik Rybinski and Lucas Johansen. Mike Vecchione sealed the game with an empty net goal at 17:58 from Roe and Aaron Ness.

The Bears would finish with a 32-18 edge in shots as Hunter Shepard made 17 saves in the victory.

The Bears will continue their pursuit for their second straight Calder Cup. Next up is the Eastern Conference Finals where they'll take on the Cleveland Monsters.
