The Hershey Bears took Game 2 of the Atlantic Division Semifinals thanks to a two goal effort from Ethen Frank. He also added an assist to finish with three points on the night. It was before a sold out crowd of 10,520 which marked the largest single game home attendance for a first or second round playoff game since 2010. And it bested that number of 10,1112.

Frank got his first of the playoffs at 4:47 in the first period on a transition off a pass from Dylan McIlrath who found Frank wide open on a breakaway. It came at 4:47. Frank got his second at 8:18 from Joe Snively and Chase Priskie. Hunter McDonald put the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on the board at 18:45.

In the second at 4:48 Henrik Rybinski made it 3-1 as he deflected in a shot from Bogdan Trineyev. It was his second straight game with a playoff goal. Matt Strome also had an assist.

At 15:24 the Bears struck for a power play goal from Alex Limoges redirecting a centering pass from Hendrix Lapierre with Frank getting the secondary assist for his third point of the night. Lappy would put the game away at 16:30 of the third period with an empty net goal.

Hunter Shepard finished with 30 for 31 to get the win. The Bears went one for seven on the power play while the Phantoms went 0 for 3. The Phantoms outshot the Bears 31-16 in a game that featured some chippy fights.

Game 3 is on Wednesday May 8 at 7:05 p.m. at PPL Center. If you're in Herhsey or the Central Pennsylvania area you can catch the game on FOX 43. If you're in the DC market the game is on Monumental Sports Network, no pun intended. MSN's broadcast area stretches from Delaware to Richmond, Virginia.
