Hershey Bears rock Coachella to split series at two games apiece

The Washington Capitals AHL affilates the Hershey Bears took care of business in Coachella Valley. They split the dessert and set up a pivotal Game 5 on Saturday night before the series shifts back to Hershey for Game 6.

Ethen Frank struck for his 10th goal of the Calder Cup Playoffs. Hendrix Lapierre added his 13th apple of the spring while Hardy Haman Aktell added the secondary apple for his fourth of the year at 18:37 in the opening period.

Firebird threat

The Firebirds tried to poke the Bear with a goal from Shane Wright at 9:40. At the 18 minute mark in the middle stanza, Lapierre answered with his sixth goal of the spring. Joe Snively had his 13th assist which ties Lappiere in that category while Frank had his sixth assist witht the secondary.

From there it was two's after two before Ryker Evans gave the Firebirds the lead at the 32 second mark of the third.

Snively answers

At 4:21 of the third period Snively answered with his fourth goal of the playoffs as Ethen Frank upped his assist total to seven while Lapierre took the lead over Snively in assists with 14. That's teamwork.
