The Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins met to begin the season. Outcome was a 4-0 Penguins win. That was at Capital One Arena. Then the Caps won the next two in Pittsburgh. Now it's the fourth and final game of the regular season between these rivals and it's back in the District. The Caps are also getting Tom Wilson back from his six game suspension.

Not much to report from morning skate but Tarik El-Bashir of Monumental Sports Network mentioned on X/Twitter that Charlie Lindgren was the first goalie off the ice, meaning he will get the start tonight. El-Bashir also mentioned that Darcy Kuemper has felt better after leaving practice early yesterday.

In other community off the ice news the Capitals and the Monumental Sports and Entertainment Foundation Cherry Blossom Auction raised $80,825 for the MSE Foundation.

On the ice the Capitals lead the season series 2-1-0 most recently shutting out the Penguins 6-0 on March 7 at PPG Paints Arena. On Jan. 2 in Pittsburgh, the Caps scored four first period goals to push past the Penguins 4-3.

The Caps are 6-4-0 in their last 10 games against the Penguins and have an all time record of 108-108-16-14. Yeah it's a big one!
