Seattle Kraken vs. Washington Capitals: Date, Time, Betting Odds, Streaming, More
Even though he wore a no contact sweater at Washington Capitals practice yesterday and will not play tonight, Sonny Milano is still the star of the night.
The wait is over Washington Capitals fans. No this is not a playoff game or a division matchup. But it's the biggest event of the week and the hottest giveaway not just in the city but probably in all 32 NHL citiies. That's right it's Sonny Milano chia pet night when the Caps host the Seattle Kraken.
While Milano won't be playing tonight I'm sure he'll be around the building somewhere hoping his boys pull through. In yesterday's practice he wore a light blue non contact sweater.
As for today's morning skate that just happened at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, Alex Ovechkin took part in the optional skate but according to Monumental Sports Network's Captials Insider Tarik El-Bashir, he didn't go very hard. He had several conversations with team trainer Jason Serbus and left a tad early.
But according to El-Bashir, Ovechkin went onto the ice a handful of times only to return to the locker room before coming out again. Darcy Kuemper will get the nod in goal as he was the first goalie off the ice.
Here are more injury updates from Tarik, who was at morning skate:
-Ovechkin skated but he's a true game time decision against the Kraken
-Tom Wilson did not skate, is also a game time decision
-Milano continued to skate no contact jersey, sorry Caps fans he isn't playing but the chia pets will be awesome
-Defenseman Rasmus Sandin is OUT due to an upper body injury
-While Sandin is out, T.J. Oshie is back IN
