There are several Washington Capitals prospects in the pipeline to get excited for in the future. Lets take a look at some of the top ones.
Ryan Leonard
Ryan Leonard had an outstanding freshman year at Boston College as he led all BC freshmen in school history with 31 goals and 29 assists for 60 points. He currently has an assist in two games at the Worlds representing Team USA. In the World Junior Championship he helped USA to the title with six points in seven games.
Hendrix Lapierre
Hendrix Lapierre got more ice time this past season at the NHL level and made the most out of it. He had eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points in 51 games with the Caps and had five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 21 games. In the Calder Cup playoffs he has two goals and two assists for four points.
Ivan Miroshnichenko
Ivan Miroshnichenko currently has two goals in the Calder Cup playoffs as he's teammates with Lapierre on the Hershey Bears right now. They play in the Atlantic Divisioin Finals beginning on Thursday night. In 47 regular season games with the Bears, Miro had nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points. He played in one playoff game for the Caps and also contributed two goals and four assists for six points.
Ryan Chesley
Having just completed his sophomore season at the University of Minnesota, Ryan Chesley had two goals and six assists for eight points along with 19 penalty minutes. He was also an alternate captain for Team USA in the World Juniors.
Vincent Iorio
Vincent Iorio skated in six Caps regular season games and one Stanley Cup playoff game. He is currently with the Bears getting better from his injury where he recorded four goals and 10 assists for 14 points.
