The Capitals will hold 25 picks for the next three drafts including eight in this upcoming draft. This was part of the Joel Edmundson trade where they traded their seventh round pick last summer but it led to a 2024 third rounder and a 2024 fifth rounder, per Julia Stumbaugh of Bleacher Report.
The Caps will have one pick in the first and second rounds, three picks in the third round and a pick from the fourth round through the sixth round. The Caps will have a chance to finally address the needs of their prospects and Brian MacLellan always takes the best available.
