The Washington Capitals concluded their annual development camp with a 3 on 3 scrimmage. Here's how it all went down at MedStar Capitals Iceplex. Before we get to that, the Capitals did make some news by signing their top draft pick Terik Parascak. It'll carry an AAV of $975K and is a three year entry level deal, per the team.
The 18 year old was picked 17th overall and scored 43 goals and 62 assists in 68 games with the Prince George Cougars of the WHL. Overall the vibes were good at MedStar Capitals Iceplex as there was a packed crowd for Saturday plus decent turnouts each day as fans are excited to see the Caps of the future.

Leonard would win it for Team White over Team Red, you can check out her recap here. Leonard would hoist the Future Caps Cup and dish it off to Ilya Protas, the two connecting right away.

Now for some sad news, T.J. Oshie provided an update on where he's at as he's pondering his future and he's up there in age at 37. There was a new interview where Oshie said it would be "unfair" to the team if he came back and played with the back issues that he had. This interview came via NHL Network:
""The back is kind of a different story. I'm still grinding away. Going to start really training here soon, and it'll just be a matter of whether or not I can get my body healthy enough to compete when training camp rolls around.""Oshie via NHL Network
He also admitted that the "list is running out of things we've tried." Silber breaks it more down here:
"I want to come back... It's also unfair to my teammates, coaching staff, everyone upstairs if I'm not reliable."

On NHL Network, Capitals RW T.J. Oshie shares the latest on his back and where he's at as he considers whether or not to continue his career.https://t.co/szz6XR47s9
Some of the other beat writers who were in attendance at Development Camp were also impressed with the work from Ryan Leonard.
Exactly 17 seconds into the three-on-three tournament, Ryan Leonard is pushing and shoving and exchanging slashes with Oasiz Wiesblatt. Incredible stuff

Whatever Leonard decides to do just let him do what he wants. Same for Oshie. If the additions improve speed and Oshie can't make it, dang. But if things all work out this Caps team could be interesting as they approach season number 50.
