Where will the 2024 NHL Draft be held?

The Washington Capitals biggest offseason date is the 2024 NHL Draft which will be held at The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada. And it'll be a big event for both TV, the National Hockey League, and the city of Las Vegas.

It'll take place on Friday June 28 and Saturday June 29, it'll be the first time the event will be held in Las Vegas and draft, presented by Upper Deck, will be the first ever televised vent from The Sphere.

Gary Bettman annouced the news during the NHL Draft Lottery saying in the broadcast:

""Together with the amazing team at Sphere, we plan to deliver an NHL Draft like no other, introducing the bright future of hockey in an innovative and exhilarating setting.""


Round 1 of the draft is televised on ESPN, ESPN plus, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports starting at 4 p.m. pacific time and 7 p.m. in the DC market. Rounds 2-7 will start at 8:30 a.m. pacfic time and 11:30 a.m. in the DMV and can be seen on NHL Network, Sportsnet, and SN1.

In a press release from the NHL, Sphere is a next gen "entertainment medium that is redefining live entertainment. Since opening on the Vegas srip in September 2023, Sphere has become renowed worldwide for its captivating visuals and immersive live experiences."

They aren't wrong. Friends of ours have attended shows there. The NFL even had the San Francisco 49ers practice inside there. It's that big. And I'm sure it put on a show within a show during the Super Bowl game itself.
