What a night Washington Capitals fam. It was a big win and there were six goals scored in the victory. It's time to salute the top 3 studs from the win. Those who rose to the occassion and protected the District.

#3 Connor McMichael

Shoutout to Connor McMichael for how hot he's been lately and with nine points in his last seven games with five goals and four assists. After a laackluster second period, McMichael struck with a backhander at 4:21 with help from Trevor van Riemsdyk and tom Wilson.

McMichael told the media via Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post:

"We're just putting it all together as a group. There's a lot of unselfish guys. You see a lot of guys laying their bodies on the line to block pucks. ..Guys are just doing whatever it takes to win, and we're having fun. We all love each other, so it's been a lot of fun." "

Through nine games this season, the Caps have scored four or more goals six times which was only accomplshed last season 24 times out of 82 games. But more importantly hockey and sports are fun in this town once again. In the end that's all that matters.
