#2 Charlie Lindgren
Charlie Lindgren looks to bounce back from an opening night loss to the New Jersey Devils. Last season he posted a record of 25-16-7 in 50 games played, establishing career highs in games played, games started with 48 and wins.
Lindgren ranked tied for first in the NHL in shutouts with six, eighth in save percentage with .911 and ninth in goals against average with 2.67. Lindgren started in 19 of the Caps final 22 regular season games posting a record of 12-6-2 with a 2.39 goals against average, a .919 save percentage and three shutouts.
Lindgren's 12 wins from March 7 through the end of the regular season ranked first in the NHL, while his three shutouts were tied for first. He was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate so he appears to get the nod in goal.
Lindgren will have big shoes to fill after the good goatending performance from Logan Thompson the other night as the former Golden Knight stopped 24 of 26 shots in his tracks.
