#1 Alex Ovechkin

Alex Ovechkin recorded his 699th and 700th career assists on Oct. 15 against Vegas and becoming the sixth player in NHL history to record 700 plus goals and 700 assists. Ovechkin also became the seventh active player to reach the 700 assist mark, joining teammate Nicklas Backstrom, Sidney Crosby, Patrick Kane, Evgeni Malkin, Anze Kopitar and Claude Giroux.

Among active players with 700 or more assists, Ovechkin's 853 goals are the most and are 261 more than the next closest player as Sidney Crosby has 592 career goals.

Ovechkin is currently on a two game point streak and a two game assist streak as he has three assists. He's still looking for that first goal. The puck drops tonight at 7 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network.
