Dylan Strome recorded two assists the other night in the Caps win over the New York Rangers, marking his third multi point game of the season. He assisted on both of Alex Ovechkin's goals. Since joining the Capitals in 2022-23, Strome has assisted on 30 of Ovechkin's 77 goals which is the most of any teammate.
Strome leads the Capitals in assists with eight and points with 11 and has recorded at least one point in seven of Washington's eight games. He led the Caps in points last season and became the first player other than Ovechkin to finish an 82 game season as Washington's points leader since Nicklas Backstrom in 2016-17.
He also established single season career highs in goals, points, and games played for the second straight season and reached the 40 assist plateau for the second time in his career. After he recorded 26 points with 15 goals and 11 assists in his first 41 games of last season he was a point per game player in the second half with 41 points in 41 games.
Since joining the Caps two seasons ago, Strome ranks first on the Caps in games played with 171 and assists with 90 while ranking second in goals with 53 and points with 143.
