The Washington Capitals look to bounce back from a loss on Thursday night to the Colorado Avalanche as they are set to host the New Jersey Devils. Here are the top 3 keys to a Capitals victory.

#3 Power play step up

The Capitals have scored five power play goals on 11 opportunities over their last six games per the game notes entering Friday's slate of games at a success rate of 86.7 percent. And the defense lately has complemented that power play as the Caps have allowed 13 goals against in the third period this season, which was the second fewest in he NHL entering Friday behind the New York Rangers with 11.

Dylan Strome was of course the best player out there as he won 17 of 21 faceoffs for a good 81 percent on Thursday against the Colorado Avalanche. That's the most face off wins by a Capital this season.

The news from Saturday's slate of practice per Tarik-El Bashir of Monumental Sports Network is that the Caps Dads were all in attendance at the optional skate from MedStar Capitals Iceplex.

Also per Tarik, Charlie Lindgren was the first goalie off the ice which brings us to our next key.
