#2 Offensive protection for Charlie Lindgren

The Caps did not provide that in the season opener against the New Jersey Devils a little over a month ago. Logan Thompson would rebound a week later. So tonight is the Charlie Lindgren revenge game if you will.

Other practice notes included Ivan Miroshnichenko off the ice early after being a healthy scratch nearly 48 hours ago. Jakub Vrana was on the ice for the scratches skate so the guess is that he is the odd man out. In Alex Ovechkin news, he walked past the media room with a smile on his face with nothing on his leg and just a slight limp. This comes just after he was in attendance at the Washington Wizards game against the Boston Celtics courtside.

Now back to Lindgren. In his season opening debut against the Devils he allowed four goals but stopped 28 of 32 shots for an .875 save percentage. So far this season he is 5-4-0 with a 2.59 goals against average and a .900 save percentage.

Back to Miro who will slot in on the right side of the Caps top line alongside Dylan Strome and Aiaksei Protas which brings us to our final key.
