#1 Don't break the comeback Caps
We've seen Caps and Sharks games where the heroes wearing red, white, and blue have failed. We've also seen the heroes come back against them. It's very important that if they trail at any point in the game they don't falter. It's cliche I know. But it worked the previous four times.
The other night the Capitals overcame a 2-1 second period deficit to defeat their bitter divisional foes in the New Jersey Devils on Nov. 30 which marked Washington's fourth consecutive comeback win.
Per the game notes, it marks the first time the Capitals have earned four consecutive comeback wins since Feb. 24 to March 3, 2019. Only once in franchise history has Washington rallied for five straight comeback wins which came Feb. 26 through March 7, 2011.
The Capitals rank first in the NHL in comeback wins with 10. In additon, Washington overcame a 4-2 third period defcit to defeat the New York Islanders 5-4 in overtime on Nov. 29 at Capital One Arena. It marked the Caps first third period multi goal comeback since March 15, 2023 which was a 5-4 shootout win over the Buffalo Sabres.
Washington has earned multi goal comeback wins in consecutive games for just the sixth time in franchise history from Nov. 27 through the 29th. Once again puck drop is at 7 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network and you can hear the game on Caps Radio 24/7 as well as 106.7 The Fan.
