The Caps trade a 2017 2nd rounder and a 2018 2nd rounder for Lars Eller.

Eller wasn’t a superstar, but he always will be in Washington, Maryland, and Virginia. Eller anchored the third line center spot for Washington and took his play to another level in the playoffs. His play during the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs was one of the major factors in the Cap winning the Cup that season. Eller’s Cup winning goal in Game 5 of the 2018 Stanely Cup Finals was the one Cap fans will remember most.
