"It killed us. Any time you fight back in a game and tie it up, you can't allow two quick ones like that, especially the shift right after. So, we've got stuff to clean up then we'll be better Saturday (against Tampa Bay). "Connor McMichael
"I feel like the last couple of games just lacked a little bit of whatever you want to call it, a little oomph. You can feel it. ...Just second on pucks, just little things throughout the game that you can tell that we need to do a better job and we've got to find it."Spencer Carbery
With 23 games remaining, Alex Ovechkin still sits 12 goals shy of breaking Wayne Gretzky's record as he was held off the scoresheet on Thursday night. Tom Wilson did not play as he was a late scratch at warmups due to illness. Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery said he think Wilson will be back in the lineup on Saturday.
Dubois has recorded seven points with two goals and five assists in his past five games. Next up for the Caps is a Saturday afternoon matchup at Capital One Arena against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Puck drop is at 12:30 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network.
