The Washington Capitals square off against the Montreal Canadiens tonight at Capital One Arena in the NHL debut of Ethen Frank and Alex Ovechkin sitting 22 goals away from tying and 23 away from passing the Great One in Wayne Gretzky.

Here are some players to start in your fantasy lineup tonight with a little bit of help via Jason Chen of The Hockey News. We shall begin with Aliaksei Protas:

"Protas still doesn't shoot the puck very much, but he's been an excellent complementary player for their top line. He's on a three game point streak with four goals and six points in his past five games. His fantasy value has been steadily rising, and he has plenty of ROS value in deeper leagues as long as managers can withstand the occasional, short term drought. "

Matt Roy is up next:

"On a light night, Roy is a safe choice. He collected an assist Wednesday against the Canucks and he's registered at least one hit and one block in each of his past seven games. The only downside is the lack of PP TOI and the Habs have been very good lately, but neither should affect Roy's ability to provide hits or blocks. "

Finally we'll touch on Charlie Lindgren who will get the nod in goal tonight. Via Chen: "This is a good chance for Lindgren to get back in the win column, who's lost four straight and hasn't won since Dec. 20 against the Canes. Lindgren has struggled at times this season, but the Caps are still a top tier team and hold a distinct advantage even though the Habs are 8-2-0 in their past 10."

Chen added, "Lindgren owns a career 3-1-0 record with a .888 SP and 2.80 GAA against his former team, and the Caps have won three straight and also 8-2-1 in their past 11 meetings against the Habs. If you're looking for a win, I like Lindgren's chances even against the red hot Habs, but don't hold your breath for a good save percentage or GAA given how Lindgren has performed overall this season."
