The Washington Capitals take on the Vancouver Canucks tonight at 10 p.m. on Monumental Sports Network 2. For more on how to watch, listen and bet head over here. Read on to find out which two fantasy forwards to add to your lineup tonight. The easy choice is Connor McMichael and Aliaksei Protas. It's another late nighter

Jason Chen of The Hockey News notes in his NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forwards Pickups for Saturday Jan. 25 that the Capitals have been historically good against the Canucks. McMichael has three points in his past four games while Protas is on a three game point streak.

Here's what he said about the play of McMichael and Protas:

"You hate to beat a dead horse but... fantasy can be ruthless. The Canucks are in shambles and the Capitals have dominated this matchup in recent seasons, losing just twice in regulation in 17 games since 2015. The Canucks defense is in tatters and their goaltending has been subpar, which opens the door for McMichael to take advantage. He's gone quiet with zero goals in nine games, but what better opportunity to snap his drought? Protas on the other hand, has scored a point in three straight games and continues to excel even when he's not playing with Alex Ovechkin. Protas is up to 40 points in 48 games and should be rostered in at least 12 team leagues. "

Protas scored his 20th goal of the season on Thursday at the Seattle Kraken in a 3-0 Capitals win. Entering this season, Protas had 13 goals in 169 career games. Protas reached the 20 goal mark for the first time in his career and became the third Capital this season to score 20 goals joining Alex Ovechkin (22) and Tom Wilson (20).

Protas, who ranks second on the team in points with 20 goals and 20 assists for 40 points in 48 games played, is one of 22 players in the NHL with 20 goals and 20 assists. 19 of Protas' 20 goals have come at even strength, which leads Washington and is ranked tied for sixth in the NHL.

In addition, Protas ranks tied for second in the NHL in plus/minus with +27, tied for sixth in five on five points with 31 (14 goals and 17 assists) and tied for ninth in even strength points with 38. Here's hoping Protas and McMichael can bring it tonight for the Capitals. Once again puck drop is at 10 p.m. eastern on Monumental Sports Network 2.
