The Washington Capitals are hosting a Caps Care Toy Drive to benefit The Salvation Army National Capital Area Command on Tuesday, Dec. 3, when the Caps host the San Jose Sharks at Capital One Arena. Fans are encouraged to donate new, unrappped toys at the building entrances. The toys will be used for The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program, which helps provide holiday gifts for children. All individuals who donate will receive a Capitals poster featuring John Carlson, Jakob Chychrun, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Charlie Lindgren, Alex Ovechkin, Dylan Strome, and Tom Wilson. Posters are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
Doors usually open at Capital One Arena around 6 p.m. and puck drop for the night is at 7 p.m. In additon to the toy drive it also Pride Night presented by Giant where the team will celebrate members of the LGBTQIA+ community. In additon the Bud Light Two Pack is back to offer two beers and two tickets starting at $99 to fans 21 years and older at a two ticket purchase minimum.

Like when Fedorov was traded to the Caps her fandom followed but in March 2022 she was diagnosed with an agressive form of oral cancer before undergoing chemo and immunotherapy just a month but despie these setbacks graduated with her class in June 2023.
Her fight did not end there but on Nov. 26, 2023 the Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society presented their 2024 Courage Award to Jessi via zoom in her hospital room and also revealed they would be renaming the award to The Dr. Jessica Block Courage Award."
