#8 Best Radio Voices in the business
We talked about the TV, coaches, and players aplenty. Plus the bosses who have shaped the Capitals but what about those in the radio booth. Needless to say the Caps have a gem there at play by play in John Walton, who very recenty called his 1,000th game in the booth in a New Years Eve win.
Walton, who was promoed from the Hershey Bears in 2011 to replace Steve Kolbe, did not have an easy road. In the last year, Walton has survived colon cancer and also lost a brother in a plane crash. He currently is in third place all time in Caps radio games called.
Kolbe called his 1,000th game on Nov. 11, 2010. Ron Weber ended up calling 1,936
1,000 games as the voice of #ALLCAPS hockey
