#19 The jerseys so fresh so clean
There are three stars on the Capitals jersey which represent Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. the three main areas in the teams market. The most popular jersey is the Screaming Eagle which the team brought back this season for their 50th Anniversary. Alex Ovechkin was a big advocate in that and when the captain speaks you listen.
A jersey that was recenty retired was the blue W that the team wore for the last couple seasons. There was also a red Screaming Eagle version that was popular back when the NHL made the Reverse Retro line. The Reverse Retro line came back along with the Screaming Eagle in the black version which is the team's new alternate today.
The Screaming Eagle represents greatness along with the young and exhuberant Ovechkin. It was a nod to his rookie year. He always scores in the jersey when he plays in it. And the team sometimes gets some Screaming Eagle luck like when Ovi moved into third and second place on the NHL's All Time Goals List.
The white Capitals jersey along with the classic red remains unchanged in design for the most part other than new sponsored outfitters that have signed contracts recently making the appearance rather different but the concept the same.
The Caps also wore iconic jerseys during the Winter Classic and Stadium Series games, both when they were the host and when they were away. Personal favorite is the 2015 Winter Classic model they wore at Nationals Park with the Stadium Series jersey in Annapolis that the team wore then as a close second.
