We didn't mention Alex Ovechkin on the last slide not because of disrespect but because he's out of the lineup for right now. We're looking at who else has stepped up so far in his abense since we've sadly reached that point in the season.

So for this exercise at number one we'll talk about Dylan Strome who has 34 points through 25 games to lead the Caps including a team leading 26 assists to go along with his eight goals. He also has a plus/minus of plus 17 while averaging 17:34 minutes of ice time a night.

Strome has also been excellent on the face off dot winning 55.3 percent of his draws. He also has incredible distance with his skate speed as his skating distance is a total of 71.51 miles the 83rd percentile above the League average among forwards and defenseman at 47.43 per NHL Edge.
