The Washington Capitals take on the Chicago Blackhawks tonight and the one player you gotta start for your fantasy hockey team tonight is Evgeny Kuznetsov.

After a cold start, Kuzy has heated up. It may be too late for the Caps but it might not be too late for your fantasy team.

Michael Finewax of Yahoo Sports said this about Kuznetsov:

"Kuznetsov has been in a prolonged slump, with one goal in his last 10 games, but he still has 12 goals and 51 points this season. He had an assist in his lone game versus Chicago earlier in the season. His value is big due to his low price."

Kuznetsov was big in the Caps comeback win over the Buffalo Sabres last week as he had a shootout goal for the ages. It made the haters complain. Kuznetsov came down the ice with the puck slowly. Then he faked out the goalie last second and put it in.

T.J. Oshie would later do a fake out of his own to seal the win for the good guys.

Overall this is a big game for the Caps as they need to win these last 10 games to have any shot at the playoffs. But if they make the playoffs what does it do? You would more likely than not have to face the Boston Bruins who have been and are looking to continue to dominate.

The Caps sit at 33-31-8 with 74 points. They’re five points behind the third place Florida Panthers. They are six points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second wild card and final playoff spot.
