Washington Capitals Morning Links: On To Pittsburgh, Wrapping Up Leafs
Good morning Washington Capitals fans! Today’s array of links include pieces about the Maple Leafs series, getting ready for Pittsburgh and more!
The Washington Capitals are getting ready for their second round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. This is the third time Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby will square off in the postseason. The latter has won the previous two series. They’re also coming off an exciting series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
This upcoming series might be the most important series in Capitals history. With Ovechkin aging and several key players being free agents in July, this is the best chance the Caps have had to win a Stanley Cup. Anything less than lifting Lord Stanley won’t be tolerated. Winning the Stanley Cup is extremely difficult and it requires, for lack of a better term, luck. Washington has not gotten lucky in the playoffs. One could argue you can make your own luck, but still, you need things to go your way to win.
Without further ado, here’s today’s array of news and links.
