Another week has come and gone. Three more Washington Capitals games have been played and are in the books.

It’s weeks like this that no matter how long the NHL season feels it can still fly by. As true as that statement may feel or may not feel it doesn’t get in the way of the fact that it’s time to name our stars of the week for the Capitals.

The Caps toured western Canada this week going 2-0-1. The wins coming in Calgary and a heck of a come from behind win in Vancouver. The overtime loss coming in Edmonton after a blown lead and some overtime magic from the deadly McDavid/Draisaitl combo.

In what I think is a bit of a disturbing trend, it’s been hard to pick a standout performance or performances from the Capitals. Not because they have all been good, but because almost everyone has been quiet. There just has not been a guy you can consistently look at and say he has had a great season from start til now.

We’ll name the stars anyways. It may be more stats based than I’d like but the way the players are playing right now that’s what will have to be the deciding factor. Here are the most recent stars of the week.
