3rd Round 85th overall: Max Namestnikov

Max Namestnikov is a five foot six, 150 pound center. He is the younger brother of 2011 NHL Draft pick Vladimir Namestnikov who was a first round pick. He still plays in the NHL to this day. Max had 54 goals and 75 assists for 128 points in 59 games in the HPHL with Detroit Honeybanked in 2019-20. He got picked up by the Sarnia Sting of the OHL.

He didn’t play last year due to COVID but last season was his first season where he recorded 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points. He is another center the Caps can build upon. Something tells me the team is going to really stock up at the center position.

5th Round 149th overall: Logan Morrison

Logan Morrison is also a center that’s six foot and 180 pounds. He went undrafted in the last two NHL Drafts. He could get picked this year, however, after the season that he just had.

Morrison had 34 goals and 66 assists for 100 points with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the OHL. He also had a plus minus of plus 44. During the OHL playoffs, Morrison had 17 goals and 22 assists for 38 points in 19 games in the OHL Playoffs. The Hamilton Bulldogs swept their first three opponents in that postseason.
