6th Round 181st overall: Kent Anderson

Finally we go with someone other than a forward! Kent Anderson is six foot three and a 201 pound defenseman. He was a ninth round pick by the Prince George Cougars in the 2020 WHL Daft. He turned down the WHL to play in the USHL.

He’s a big defenseman that recorded two goals and 26 assists for 28 points with a plus minus of -30 in 61 games with the Green Bay Gamblers last season. He was a reliable defenseman that spent time on the third, second, and first pairings. He can be effective on the power play and is very physical for his age.

7th Round 213th overall: Ilya Kvochko

Ilya Kvochko is another center that is undersized at five foot nine and 159 pounds. But he has a good two way game and can defend well despite that small size. He’s a first line center in the MHL recording nine goals and 19 assists for 28 points. He could make a big impact with the Hershey Bears.

Kvochko doesn’t have KHL experience but does play for the Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL, the same KHL team that Ilya Samsonov played on before coming to the Caps. If he had more size, he could’ve easily been a second round prospect.
