How to watch Vegas Golden Knights vs Washington Capitals game with & without cable
Game 2 of 82 coming up for the Caps
We're back in action tonight from Capital One Arena as the Washington Capitals look to bounce back from a rough opening night loss to the New Jersey Devils. Their opponent is another tough one in the Vegas Golden Knights.
Let's start with the basics. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. No lengthy pregame ceremony this time around as far as I know. If you can't make it to the game you can catch it on Monumental Sports Network. You can hear the game on the radio on 106.7 The Fan or Caps Radio 24/7.

Matt Roy is out day to day with a lower body injury. Alex Ovechkin got moved to right wing in practice. Logan Thompson will get the nod in goal against his former team. You can catch up on all the Monday madness here.
The last time these two teams met at Capital One Arena, Logan Thompson started for Vegas while Charlie Lindgren recorded a 35 save shutout. The Caps are 3-7-2 all time against Vegas in regular season play but 4-1 when it matters most. Last season the teams split the season series 1-1-0.
Dylan Strome and John Carlson led the Capitals with two points in those two games against the Golden Knights. Strome had a goal and an assist while Carlson had two assists.
Per the game notes Tuesday night marks the 50 year anniversary of the Caps first ever regular season game at Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland as Yvon Labre scored the Caps lone goal in a 1-1 tie with the Los Angeles Kings.
Logan Thompson meanwhile has a chance at a revenge game against his former club as the Caps acquired him for a third rounder during NHL Draft weekend ironically in Vegas. The third rounder was originally from the New York Islanders and the Caps also sent a 2025 third rounder in the deal.
