#2 Ethen Frank
In case you missed it, we talked about the play of goaltender Logan Thompson in our earlier preview of the game as well as yesterday. So for this exercise we added Ethen Frank to the equation. He scored his first career goal in his second NHL game on Saturday night at Nashville. His goal broke a 1-1 tie and would stand out as the game winner.
Frank registered an assist in his NHL debut on Jan. 10 against the Montreal Canadiens and has recorded a point in each of his first two NHL games. He became the 11th player in franchise history to record a point in each of his first two career games and the first since Andrew Burakovsky in 2014-15.
The 26 year old went undrafted and has recorded 125 points with 80 goals and 45 assists in 161 career AHL games with the Hershey Bears. His 80 goals since April 15, 2022, the date of his first career AHL goal, are the second most in the League in that span.
Frank is a two time Calder Cup champion with Herhsey, led the Bears and ranked second in the AHL in goals with 20 at the time of his recall on Jan. 10. The Aurora, Colorado native has been selected to three straight AHL All Star Classics and was named to the AHL All Rookie Team in 2022-23.
