The NHL Draft is just hours away now.

NHL front offices as well as prospects are getting ready for the big day. Who will our team be able to select with our first pick? Where and who is my new favorite team? Those just a couple of the questions coming from both sides.

We’ve already done several draft pieces here at Stars and Sticks, including a three forwards the Capitals could consider at pick number twenty-four (or possibly later). We’re going to do the same there here today. Instead of three more forwards, it will be defensemen this time around.

The three guys I’ll talk about today have the same question as the forwards I mentioned the other day. These guys should be there at pick twenty-four and probably even later. Some of these picks may be a stretch, but if that’s the case, a trade down could be worth it and then you get more picks. And more picks in a deeper draft, not the worst thing ever.
